The Reefs is Honored by Condé Nast Traveler Readers

Our most heartfelt gratitude to you, our loyal fans, and the other Condé Nast Traveler readers. In the Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Readers' Choice Awards announced this week, The Reefs was honored as the #1 resort in the Atlantic for the fourth year in a row.

The Reefs earned a total score of 95.1, earning a spot among the Top 100 Hotels & Resorts in the World.

A record 46,746 readers participated in the 25th annual survey, which ranks hotels based on rooms, service, food, location, design and activities.

While it is always nice to be recognized by the travel industry, our biggest joy comes from creating a memorable Bermuda vacation for our guests and welcoming you back to our pink sand beach home.

La Serena and The Reefs receive high ratings

The Reefs and our wonderful La Serena Spa were just named among the Top 25 resort spas in the Atlantic and Caribbean in the 2012 Condé Nast Traveler Top Spas List.

The Reefs ranked #7 with a score of 94.1, up from last year’s ranking of #8 with a score of 92.4. La Serena Spa is also the top-ranked Bermuda spa on the list.

This is the third year that The Reefs and La Serena Spa have been featured on this prestigious list. The Reefs has been the top-ranked Bermuda resort spa each time it has appeared.

The list is in the June 2012 issue of the magazine which will be on newsstands this week and online at cntraveler.com.

New Honors to Ring in the New Year

The staff members at The Reefs are welcoming in the New Year with even bigger smiles. Our Bermuda resort was named among the best in the world by both Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure magazines.

2012 Gold List

In the January edition of Condé Nast Traveler, The Reefs was honored on the 2012 Gold List as the No. 3 resort in the Caribbean and Atlantic. Our score of 94.9 earned us the top spot in Bermuda.

In addition, The Reefs was named to the Platinum Circle of “Gold List superstars” for being on the Gold List for the past five years in a row. In fact, this makes our 16th consecutive appearance on the Gold List.

T+L 500

Travel + Leisure recently announced the 2012 T+L 500 List. The Reefs was named among the Best in the Caribbean / Atlantic and the only resort in Bermuda to be featured. This is The Reefs’ 9th time on the list.

#1 Atlantic Hotel for the 3rd Year in a Row

Condé Nast Traveler Gold List

The Reefs continues to move up the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List. The Reefs has been included for its fourth year in a row in the 2008 Condé Nast Traveler Gold List. The popular hotel raised its overall ranking to 88.6, nearly two full points from the previous year. As always, The Reefs is the only Bermuda hotel to make the Gold List.

More than 28,000 readers tested the top hotels and resorts around the world and named their favorites in the Reader’s Choice Awards in November 2007. What did readers have to say about The Reefs? The resort feels “very tropical, especially at night when the palm trees are lit” and the “service is amazing; staff treated us like old friends!”

The Reefs - One of the World's Best

Travel + Leisure’s travel experts have named The Reefs #9 of all hotels in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas. The Reefs was the only Bermuda hotel to make the list.

In their sixth annual “T + L 500,” Travel + Leisure's global team of reporters and editors culled the 500 highest-rated hotels from their World's Best survey, acknowledging what differentiates them from their competitors. The entire list of 500 hotels is published in the January 2008 issue of Travel + Leisure which is on news stands now.

Managing Director Ben Tutt says the ratings reflect the efforts of The Reefs’ outstanding staff. “We strive to ensure that each guest enjoys an unparalleled experience. We hear from them that they will return, and they do. More than half of our guests are here for the second time or more.”

In addition, Readers in Condé Nast Traveler’s 20th annual famed Readers’ Choice Awards named The Reefs as one of the top five Atlantic Ocean Resorts. Bermuda was named number one of all the islands in the Caribbean and Atlantic, and The Reefs was the only Bermuda property to make the list. The Readers’ Choice Awards were announced in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler.
